One of the traditions of Central United Methodist Church is our Chancel Choir, which for decades has been known throughout our community as one of the finest choirs presenting 'traditional church music' honoring God. Seeing the smiling faces in their red robes is a wonderful sight on Sunday mornings to those who have come to worship at our 9:15 Traditional Worship service and at our 11:00 Family Worship service.

The Chancel Choir is open to individuals of high school age through adult. The choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30pm until 9:00pm preparing the anthems that will be sung at our 9:15 and 11:00 Sunday Worship services. The choir shares its gifts in worship from the first week in September through the second week of June.

Our choir is double the size of the average church choir in the United States. It has a good balance of men and women who presents as their offering music of the hightest quality. We want to encourage singers to join our Chancel membership whether you are a member of our church or not because new members are always welcome!

It is our prayer that our music will always be an acceptable offering to God and, at the same time, serve as an inspiration to our church members and those worshiping with us.
