 The committee on finance is responsible for establishing the written financial policies that document the internal controls on how our church receives, spends, and invests the offerings, tithes, and financial gifts that we receive.
The committee coordinates an annual audit of our financial statements by a neutral party that is not involved with church financial matters during the year. The Finance Team makes a full report about our finances at our Annual Church Conference that is held in the fall of each year.
This essential team is also responsible for making sure that all incoming monies are properly deposited as well as accounted for.
The team’s members also develop and approve the church’s annual budget utilizing reports developed by the church’s ministry teams. They make this determination taking into consideration our church’s vision and the financial realities of our church family and the local economy.
