:: Thursdays Practice 6:00pm-6:45pm :: |
Understanding how to play the guitar is easy….it’s making your fingers understand that’s the challenge!
Every Thursday at 6pm, guitar players of every skill level are getting together for a time of learning basic skills, simple music theory, and of course jamming together.
Then every 10 weeks, we go back to the basics, and start all over again! Beginners move quickly from folk tunes to contemporary Praise choruses arranged for their level. More advanced students rotate through; helping other students, picking up some basic Music Theory, trading rifts with other advanced players – even accompanying the Praise Ensemble “on the road”!
Guitar class is open to anyone, regardless of affiliation with Central UMC or musical expertise. Bring your guitar (or call Jen or Carlyn to borrow one); we’ll get you playing in no time!
(Please note: this class is taught on a level appropriate for teens and adults; younger children should be accompanied by an adult).
