Central United Methodist Church, Linwood, New Jersey will soon be celebrating 150 years of vital ministry in this community. Our history tells the stories of God’s active involvement in this church from our early beginnings and the people who have walked these halls before us. They pass on to us a legacy of faith and service in creative ministry. Never content to be satisfied with things as they are, they accepted the challenges of their day and embraced the adventures God was offering. Through the years they rose up to move the church location, to tear down the old and rebuild the new, and to expand the facilities to meet the growing needs. They were never a people at rest, but always empowered and ready for God’s good things.
There is a sense of excitement in the air. There is a sense of anticipation that God is doing something grand in our midst, and we are all a part of this joyful moment.The Spirit of God is breathing upon us with new dreams, and within us with new energies. Truly, because of God’s presence in this place, this is a place “Where Something Good is Always Happening!” I hope you'll regard this website as a representation of our church arms extended,
each one with its own history of grace and growth.

reminded of God's faithfulness to us. The heart of
our fellowship is the people blessed by grace who
are Central United Methodist Church.
Sunday morning education, holiday programs, missions initiatives, music ministries, youth groups and family events create connections with children and families. These are some of the ways we are making a difference as we reach out to the residents of Linwood, Northfield, Somers Point, Egg Harbor Township, and other southern New Jersey communities.
