 Although in the United Methodist tradition and according to our Discipline (¶340) our pastors have the responsibility for establishing the order of worship and how worship services proceed in our churches, here at Central United Methodist Church we are blessed to have a Worship Team whose members assist our pastors in that process.
The Worship Team is responsible for: insuring that our Sanctuary has the proper paraments for the season; having appropriate flowers on display for special days of worship and celebration; decorating the Sanctuary and our church for Christmas; organizing our teams of acolytes, greeters, and ushers; and for reviewing our ongoing worship services.
The team is made up of members of our church from all age groups. There are teenagers, young adults, parents of children, and members who are in their retirement years all contributing their ideas to this special ministry team.
